8 More Anime That Need JRPGs
With a number vaguely between one and 1 Billion of you tapping on our list of anime that we wanted to see transmuted into Japanese Role Play Games, perhaps hoping to see DEMON SLAYER in big bold letters but instead left to find out whatever the heck ‘The Vision of Escaflowne’ is, the numbers FORCE us to monkey-typewriter another of these ghoulish paperthin list guys for you to share with your yoga aunts and beer uncles on faced book dot com!
No need for more preamble, here’s 8 More Anime That Need To Be JRPGified!
A transfer student from the Oshare-est city ever, Tokyo Japan, moves to practically Oregon and shacks up with a whole bunch of ladies while fighting monsters inside the darn TV?
Sign us up, as good as watching Persona 4 The Animation is, imagine how sickly sweet a Persona 4 The Animation The Game playable bouncy castle of an RPG could exist as.
Less than three years after Persona 4 The Animation added a Simpsons amount of yellow into our lives, Japan saw fit to remake the entire show and, like the greek gods, sculpted a whole new girl, the Hot Topician Marie, out of clay to make the show even better.
Everyone knows the more girls an anime has the better it is, and the same goes for JRPGs!
The hypothetical Persona 4 Golden The Animation The Game would be a great expansion or remake of the hypothetical Persona 4 The Animation The Game.
Xenosaga The Animation posits ‘What if the PS2 start-up sound-into the PS2 menu music manifested its own universe’.
Brother, it is a hoot but god why why! Wasn’t this a obtuse trilogy of games on the Playstation 2 that legally unplayable on any other platform to this day instead of a kind of ugly 2005 digipaint animation?
It haunts me knowing that we’ll never know.
A fun story with a lot of heart, you’d mistake the show for something Ghibli made!
With it’s cute bear mascot and plethora of characters with distinctive styles of dress and distinctiver styles or hair, we’d love to take control of all these guys and run around this borderline wonderland encrestened Hopes Peak Academy!
A heart-warming story about a whole class coming together to overcome their odds despite some pretty significant differences and setbacks, you could even add dating simulator elements to this family friendly class if it was a Video Game instead of a Video Show.
We just think like, yeah, Final Fantasy Unlimited alone wouldn't make for a great Gideo Vame, but you could take those birds and those crystals and that general idea of journeying around a world, slap some Goku hair on all of it, and make one behemoth of a Janpanmese Role Playing Game.
Maybe, make even more than one.
Maybe you could make… I don’t know, 7? And stop there?
Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai was an early 90s manga turned anime series that proved so popular in Japan that new volumes of manga and episodes of the show were legally mandated by the Japanese government to only release on Saturdays or Sundays so the vast majority of the population wouldn’t all take off work on school on the same day to watch or read these.
In its pages you have sword-buckling heroes, diabolical villains, and hordes of simple, endearing monsters. Why hasn’t someone made a game like this yet!
People stayed not knowing about Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai outside of Japan so they threw some shiny new paint on it.
We imagine a game based off Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai (2021) being akin to someday taking a beloved Famicom (*translators note, this is what cultured people call the Nintendo Entertainment System) role playing classic and dumped into an ‘HD 2D’ machine powered by the Unreal Engine and asking people to be pleased with the awkward results.
Devil May Cry?
More I’ll DevI’ll Definitely Be Cryin’ if Namco or Konami or Koei, one of them big kid Japanese developers, doesn’t make an ACTION ARE PEE GEE where I can control this chiseled, crimson leather clad, bad MFer Dante and make demon sashimi (*translators note this is a Japanese dish like Sushi, sometimes it’s made of horse!) with his epic Berserkian swords!
Gawrsh!
